A great sequel to Return Fire, one of the best capture the flag games ever made. The plot is very simple: you and an enemy are on an island full of military strongholds. You have three different modes of transport – the tank, the jeep and the helicopter. With these vehicles you have to find the enemy's flag, capture it and return it to your base. Of course, all sorts of explosion-filled antics ensue. This in itself is a great laugh and will keep you hooked for many weeks to come.

Where the game really shines is in the wicked four-player mode, a lot of fun and very addictive. Each vehicle handles differently, although don't expect strong realism here – this is a furious action game that does not pretend to be a simulation. Unfortunately, the controls are *very* difficult to get a hang of: awkward, unintuitive, and not very responsive if you don't play the game with a joystick. This is the only glaring weakness in Return Fire 2 that makes this Top Dog just shy of our Hall of Belated Fame induction. Still, once you get used to the controls, you will be in for one of the most addictive and immersive multiplayer games ever made. Two thumbs up, way up!
