Game #1259
White Death
War   Hex or tile-based

Rating: 7.84 (13 votes)

Probably one of the best RAW wargames, White Death is a solid simulation of the famed battle of Velikiye Luki, despite very unfriendly user interface. Similar to most other wargames from RAW, it is based on the board game of the same name, and is a very direct and literal translation. If one is familiar with the board game, White Death will likely provide many hours of challenge with competent AI and a multitude of gameplay options. Others, however, will probably find the game mechanics too tedious to grasp, even with the manual.
